In April 2024, Bolzano hosted a stage of the European U17 Circuit promoted by Badminton Europe for the second year in a row.

This sporting event called "YONEX Bozner Cup U17 International" had a great participation, much more than in the year 2023 (178 athletes from 23 European countries and also from outside Europe) and all 5 competition draws were full!

Also the general technical level of the participating athletes has become higher in this second edition of the "YONEX Bozner Cup U17 International" and thanks to this success, we have already communicated to the European federation (Badminton Europe) our intention to propose the holding of the third edition.

The PalaSport in Bolzano will once again serve as the competition venue in the period from 25 to 27 April 2025.

The local Club "Sport Promotion Bolzano" has again managed to involve the world-class technical partner (YONEX Germany), which will also support the event in the year 2025 by setting up the sport hall with the best equipment (including 10 mats).

The event will also be supported by the Province of South Tyrol and the Municipality of Bolzano.

Since 2015, there has also been a badminton school in South Tyrol (SBS - Südtirol Badminton School), which promotes Italian and foreign talent. For example, Yasmine Hamza is one of SBS's top players, who has won many medals at international level and has managed to enter the WR Top90 (status week 42/2023).
