In April 2023, Bolzano hosted a stage of the U17 European Circuit promoted by Badminton Europe.

This sporting event called the "YONEX Bozner Cup U17 International" also had historical significance, as a stage of the European U17 Circuit promoted by Badminton Europe had never been held in Italy.

Thanks to the organisational success, the Italian Badminton Federation granted our association the organisation of the second badminton event "YONEX Bozner Cup U17 International" again, and for the second consecutive time, and the European federation (Badminton Europe) endorsed this request in October '23.

The Bolzano sports hall (Palaresia) will serve as the competition venue from 26 to 28 April 2024.

The amateur association 'Sport Promotion Bolzano' was able to involve a world-class technical partner (YONEX Germany), which will once again provide technical support.

The event will also be supported by the Province of South Tyrol and the Municipality of Bolzano.

Since 2015, there has also been a badminton school in Bolzano (SBS - Südtirol Badminton School), which promotes Italian and foreign talent. For example, Yasmine Hamza is one of SBS's top players, who has won many medals at international level and has managed to enter the WR Top90 (status week 42/2023).
