Bozner Frühling 2023

Badminton has a long tradition in South Tyrol and above all in Bolzano (provincial capital), where many Italian absolute, junior and under champions come from South Tyrol.

In the year 2022, an international youth tournament called “Bozner Frühling” was held. This sporting event was organised by the A.S.D. Sport Promotion Bolzano with the participation of athletes from the following 8 European countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Malta, Romania, Hungary, Switzerland and of course Italy.

This year (2023) this tournament has been repeated due to last year's success, and athletes from no less than 16 foreign nations have signed up, including: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Maldives, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, The Netherlands, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland.

In addition to this, we have proposed the organisation (in a parallel manner) of a stage of the U17 Circuit promoted by the European federation (Badminton Europe): the "YONEX Bozner Cup U17 International", which will take place on the same days: 28-30 April 2023.

All this is also to encourage the participation of clubs that have u/15 athletes of international level who want to play both the "Bozner Frühling Youth International" tournament and the higher category event, i.e. the "YONEX Bozner Cup U17 International", with a view to gaining experience on the field and valid points for the Badminton Europe ranking.
